2008 Review:
Considering that Travis Kvapil had a revolving door of sponsors and little security from week-to-week, 2008 had to be considered a successful year. Four top-10s, a pole at Talladega and a 23rd place finish in points equaled a career year for Kvapil. The problem is that career year could have been even better were it not for a second half swoon that saw him record only one top-10 in the final 25 races.
2009 Preview:
With no sponsor signed for the whole season, there’s no guarantee that Kvapil will run the entire schedule in 2009. But if a sponsor is found, there’s no reason that Kvapil can’t build off the successful foundation that he laid last year. A new teammate in Bobby Labonte should help matters, as Kvapil will be entering just his fourth season at NASCAR’s highest level.
